Cerebral traumatism with a playground rocking toy mimicking shaken baby syndrome

Shaken baby syndrome (SBS), one of the most deadly and devastating forms of child abuse, is caused by violent shaking. The combination of subdural hematoma, retinal hemorrhage, brain swelling, and diffuse axonal injury is highly typical of this syndrome and faced with these autopsy findings, induced traumatic lesions are strongly considered. However, it is known that motor-vehicle accidents and falls from great height can also produce this pattern of injury. Nevertheless, stories of arms fall, couch fall, or bumped head while the baby is being carried are generally considered incompatible with SBS. We here report a case of a 2-year-old boy presenting with all the classic autopsy findings of SBS from a playground rocking toy shaken by an older child.     

怀疑原发性脑干损伤早期死亡脑干纤维联结蛋白的免疫组化研究

在本研究的１３个案例中，怀疑原发性脑干伤死亡的５例，明确死因的８例，其中严重闭合性颅脑损伤２例；缢死１例，失血性休克１例，电击２例，海洛因中毒２例。用ＬＳＡＢ法对１３例脑干的中脑、脑桥、延髓各部ＦＮ进行检测。结果显示５例怀疑为原发性脑干伤、２例严重颅脑损伤、２例海洛因中毒死者的脑千部位的神经元内均可见ＦＮ的异常沉积，其它各例未见ＦＮ的异常沉积。结果表明；ＬＳＡＢ－ＦＮ法是诊断原发性脑干伤早期死亡灵敏但非特异的形态学指标。

Morphometrical investigations into alterations of the wall thickness of small pulmonary arteries after birth and in cases of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)

In 1973 Naeye was the first to demonstrate that, in cases of SIDS, the small pulmonary arteries have more smooth muscle than in controls and suggested that this is a consequence of chronic alveolar hypoxia. Seventy-five cases have been investigated morphometrically in order to obtain quantitative data on the alterations of wall thickness of the small pulmonary arteries after birth and in cases of SIDS. The investigations comprise seven cases of stillbirth, 19 cases of newborn, 33 cases of SIDS and 16 controls. In each case the thickness of the media, the external diameter of the artery and the media area have been measured planimetrically for 90 arteries ranging between 50 μm and 500 μm. A media index was calculated as the ratio of the thickness of the media to the diameter of the artery. Using this index a thickening of the media of the small pulmonary arteries, corresponding to the situation in fetal and neonatal life, has been confirmed for cases of SIDS. The normal postnatal changes in the small pulmonary arteries, media thinning and enlargement of the lumen, could not be observed in SIDS cases in the first year of life.     

云南省中小学毒品预防教育现状及对策研究

目前 ,云南省中小学毒品预防教育虽取得了一些成绩 ,并积累了一定经验。但存在着在校学生吸毒人数少 ,离校学生吸毒人数多等问题。原因 :1、对学校毒品预防教育的重要性认识不足 ;2、缺乏专门人员和专项经费 ;3、受毒品和社会客观环境因素的制约。建议 :1、进一步提高认识 ,切实加强领导工作 ;2、提供专任教师和专项经费 ;3、保证学校毒品预防教育的课堂教学时间……     

创建生态式环境——幼小衔接新探

由于幼儿园与小学之间存在诸多差异,儿童在从幼儿园向小学过渡时会出现一定程度的不适应性,这种不适应性和幼小衔接工作中出现的问题都是由于环境中存在着某种缺失,笔者主张创建一种生态式环境,让儿童周围的教育资源充分发挥作用,以整体的力量弥补部分的缺失,以达到促进幼小衔接。     

Maternal mortality in Slovenia: Case report and the method of identifying pregnancy-associated deaths

We report on the case of fatal intracerebral haemorrhage that followed the development of severe preeclampsia/eclampsia with haemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelets (HELLP) syndrome in a 22-year-old primipara. Peculiarities of the reported case are abrupt onset of preeclampsia/eclampsia during the delivery, fulminant course of the disease, minimal changes in kidneys and signs of pre-existing accelerated arteriosclerosis. Since very few forensic pathologists have sufficient experience with such cases and the differential diagnosis may be difficult, we consider it necessary that in all maternal deaths the post-mortem examination is performed by a team of two forensic pathologists and the case further analysed in collaboration with expert obstetrician.Maternal deaths are rare in developed countries but extremely important, because they represent the “tip of the iceberg” of severe maternal and neonatal morbidity and because they reflect accessibility and quality of prenatal and obstetric care as well as the health status of reproductive-aged women. Unfortunately, they are often misclassified in death certificates which may lead to insufficient engagement in solving underlying problems. In Slovenia, the method of active search for pregnancy-associated deaths is used in order to enable accurate monitoring of maternal mortality and minimise underreporting. The method is based on the manual revision of death certificates and the computer-based linkage of Mortality Database with birth register and foetal deaths register and has proved to be highly efficient.

努力实现社会主义初级阶段的社会整合

处理好各种社会矛盾,化解社会在前进过程中逐渐积累起来的利益冲突、动力冲突、取向冲突和观念冲突,努力实现中国特色社会主义初级阶段的社会整合,是贯彻科学发展观、建构和谐社会的题内应有之义,是摆在我党面前的重要政治任务之一。
