他们出生于20世纪90年代,被称为"90后"。他们在信息爆炸的网络时代成长,在各种思想文化互相激荡的环境中学习,他们的世界观、人生观、价值观具有与以往时代不同的特点。因此,新时期的大学生素质教育工作应当采取符合"90后"大学生思想、性格特征的教育方式。文章首先从三方面分析了"90后"大学生素质现状,经探索后,提出四点建议:第一,注重素质教育工作开展的协调性;第二,增强"90后"大学生的党性修养;第三,提高学生的人际交往能力;第四,强调思维互动,实现"教学相长"。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

I started my fine art training in the 1990s at the university currently known as Rhodes.* The foundation of art training was drawing. First year focused on two subjects: the European plaster cast and the nude black model. This practice situated my learning of art in the European past as well as the South African present. Drawing on black feminist thought I show that framed by colonial norms the black body was a humiliated and abject subject. She was a racial stereotype rather than an object of beauty. Recent protests at universities specifically targeting art, confirms a deep dissatisfaction amongst students with colonial epistemic knowledge and value systems. By rejecting the colonial and apartheid legacy of universities younger generations use protest action as a means to demand urgent change.  相似文献

Student engagement occurs when students are significantly motivated to invest in their learning behaviorally, cognitively, and emotionally. Although research has shown that higher engagement leads to deeper learning, the importance of student engagement in role plays has been underestimated in negotiation pedagogy. More specifically, role plays that fail to provide authentic experiences or to capture students' interest may lead to suboptimal learning due to a lack of engagement. To help foster learning from role plays, we propose two frames of reference for improving their design: ecological validity and vested interest. Using these frameworks, we suggest strategies to create more authentic and interesting role plays and thus promote richer learning for students.  相似文献

Abstract

This study examines racial, social, and contextual-environmental factors to determine what effects they have in predicting the likelihood of student victimizations in urban, suburban, and rural schools. In doing so, it seeks to answer two basic questions-Is school violence more prevalent among African-American students in urban schools? And if so, which factors predict the likelihood of one being victimized in urban schools compared to suburban and rural schools? The results of this study indicate that race was not significant in predicting victimizations among students in either urban, suburban, or rural school districts. However, the probability of student victimizations increased for students who attended school in the Western regions of the U.S. where student diversity is greater. Also, students who attended schools where gangs, drugs, weapons, and security were present were more likely to be victimized than those who did not have these elements in their schools. Finally, the regression models for school crimes did better in predicting student victimizations than the personal and property crime models.  相似文献

通过对江苏省连云港地区大学生村官发展现状的实地调研,大学生村官的价值取向多元化,跳板意愿浓厚,所从事的工作内容不明确,工作重心偏离农村。从各地对大学生村官计划的落实情况看,各县之间呈现出不平衡性,且同一县内各镇之间也不平衡,大学生村官生活压力大、岗位流动频繁。对此,应从宣传工作、领导重视、加强培训、基础保障等方面入手进一步做好大学生村官发展工作。  相似文献

Abstract

While policymakers have granted a substantial commitment of resources in order to reduce fear of crime among U.S. school students, the research literature on fear of crime at school is in its infancy. This study investigates whether school security techniques reduce or exacerbate fear of crime among students, net of community and school disorder and student characteristics. Ferraro's (1995) theory of incivilities suggests that students might perceive highly visible security as an incivility, which might increase their fear of crime. Using a nationally representative sample of American school children from the 1993 National Household Education Survey: School Safety and Discipline Component (NHES-SSD), we found that while school security efforts do not predict student fear as well as school disorder and individual student traits, many types of security correspond with a significantly greater likelihood that a student will be worried about crime while none reduce feelings of worry.  相似文献
