Scales for perceived risk of student-on-student victimization in grades 7 through 10: A psychometric analysis of the adolescent index on school safety

Although past research has developed scales for the incidence, prevalence, and fear of student-on-student victimization (SSV), little is known about the scaling of perceived risk (i.e., the cognitive appraisal of the chances of experiencing SSV). Hence, this study examined self-report survey data for the perceived risk of SSV as measured in the Adolescent Index for School Safety (AISS). Children in grades 7 through 10 (n=337) in a single Florida public school completed the AISS. Factor analyses using Maximum Likelihood Estimation with Oblimin Rotation identified nine unique factors for perceived risk. Reliability analyses found standardized Cronbach Alphas that ranged from .64 to .91, and seven out of the nine identified scales were above .80, which suggested good to excellent internal consistency. Future research should examine the content validity, construct validity, and predictive validity for the AISS and other self-report surveys of SSV dynamics. Enantiomeric separation of methamphetamine and related analogs by capillary zone electrophoresis: intelligence study in routine methamphetamine seizures

A method for simultaneous enantiomeric separation of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and methamphetamine (MA) in a single run by simple capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) with beta-cyclodextrin as a chiral selector is described. The effects of the buffer pH, phosphate concentration, beta-cyclodextrin concentration, voltage and temperature on the peak resolution were examined. Good enantiomeric resolution was attained for each analyte under our optimized conditions: 15 mM beta-cyclodextrin, 300 mM NaH2PO4 at pH 2.5 with an uncoated capillary (64.5 cm x 50 microm), applied potential at 20 kV and temperature at 30 degrees C. Ultraviolet (UV) detection at a fixed wavelength (200 nm) was employed using a diode array detector. Using phentermine as an internal standard, migration times for all analytes are reproducible within 0.16% for intra-day and 0.6% for inter-day runs. Application of this method to the analysis of confiscated drugs is discussed.     

消核冲剂对乳腺增生大鼠性激素水平及PCNA表达的影响

目的:观察中药复方消核冲剂对实验性乳腺增生大鼠血清性激素水平和增生乳腺组织中增殖细胞核抗原(PCNA)表达的影响,探讨该药物治疗乳腺增生病的可能机制.方法:Wistar雌性大鼠60只,随机分为空白对照组(对照组)、模型对照组(模型组)、消核冲剂组(中药组)、他莫昔芬组(西药组),每组15只.肌注苯甲酸雌二醇(E2)、黄体酮复制大鼠乳腺增生模型.模型复制后灌服药物,化学发光免疫法测定血清性激素水平,免疫组化法观察乳腺组织PCNA的表达.结果:中药组和西药组血清E2、孕酮(P)水平均低于模型组,差异有显著性;PCNA阳性细胞数目和阳性细胞面积中药组和西药组均明显减少.中药组各项指标的改变与西药组相比均无明显差异.结论:中药复方消核冲剂对乳腺增生大鼠血清性激素水平具有调节作用,同时也能够下调PCNA阳性表达.

针刺治疗颈性眩晕42例

目的：观察针刺治疗颈性眩晕的疗效。方法：将80例颈性眩晕患随机分为治疗组与对照组进行疗效对照。结果：治疗组治愈率及治疗3个月后的复发率与对照组比较，差异均有统计学意义(P＜0．01)。结论：治疗组的近期疗效及远期疗效均优于对照组。

Developing human resource in research and development: international experiences and implications for Vietnam

ABSTRACT

Human resource is the key driving force of research and development of a nation. Japan and Korea are two examples of how appropriate strategies in developing human resources have been transferred into remarkable achievements in R&D. In recent years, Vietnam has observed significant shift in investment for R&D. Thus, the lessons of Japan and Korea could provide Vietnam with valuable strategies for further development in human resources in R&D, particularly in vision of R&D development, policy flexibility, increased investment on R&D development and human resources, key R&D organization formation and increased international cooperation in S&T.
