实施媒介认知教育刻不容缓

以视听语言为代表的新兴媒介所传播的信息,已经取代印刷文本成为我国民众主要的信息接受来源,并将进一步改变国民特别是青少年的想象空间与思维方式。在这一现状下,媒介认知教育已经同书面文字教育具有同等重要的地位与作用,媒介认知的特殊性决定了媒介认知的不同内容与方式,而其核心则是培养国民对媒介信息的批判分析能力。故此,在我国开展媒介认知教育的研究与实践已刻不容缓。     

Unusual FGA and D19S433 off-ladder alleles and other allelic variants at the STR loci D8S1132, vWA, D18S51 and ACTBP2 (SE33)

A very short FGA allele *14 and a long D19S433 allele *19.2 were detected and sequenced, as well as the new D8S1132 alleles *12.1, *14 and *15.1. Further new sequence data (vWA allele *18.3, D18S51 allele *11.2, SE33 alleles *24.2, *32, *34 and *37, including the rare variant allele *13.2) are described.     

Further allelic variation at the STR-loci ACTBP2 (SE33), D3S1358, D8S1132, D18S51 and D21S11

ACTBP2 (SE33), D3S1358, D8S1132, D18S51 and D21S11 are frequently used STR-loci in the forensic field. This study reports sequence data of further new or rare alleles at these loci, varying in length or in sequence, which were detected in course of investigations for various purposes.

The year 2000 was expected to be pivotal in education policy.The presidential candidates chose to make education a nationalissue and offered fundamentally different approaches to improvingeducation. Education measures occupied prominent places in manystates and the U. S. Supreme Court appeared ready to decidethe constitutionality of vouchers. This article examines theresults of the 2000 elections and evaluates whether the electionof George Bush, the institution of a national testing program,and a voucher ruling by the Court are likely to alter fundamentallythe federal-state relationships in American education policy.     

ACTBP2 (alias ACTBP8) is localized on chromosome 6 (band 6q14)

The locus ACTBP2 (SE33) is localized on chromosome 6 (band 6q14). This has been demonstrated by typing a large Caucasoid three-generation kindred of Austrian origin for SE33 and several chromosome 6 markers.
