《天边外》是“美国戏剧之父”尤金.奥尼尔早期戏剧创作的典范。奥尼尔主要通过剧中露斯对自主爱情的追求和对男性的依赖,以及剧作家本人对男性的丑化,展现了一个在男权中心文化中深受男权思想毒害但又不甘向命运屈服的女性形象,表达了剧作家对女性的理解、同情和支持,并以此唤起人们对女性遭受歧视这一问题的重视。     

State transformation goes nuclear: Chinese National Nuclear Companies’ expansion into Europe

Abstract

Most of the literature on state transformation focuses on China’s relations with African, Asian and Latin American countries and the National Oil Companies’ overseas expansion to show that China has become fragmented, decentralised and internationalised. This article contributes novel findings by focusing on China’s relations with Europe and the actions of China’s National Nuclear Companies (NNCs). It shows that NNCs, which have become relatively autonomous actors, often pursue their agendas of expansion into Europe without much coordination with, or even in contradiction to, other ministries’ agendas and interests, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Instead of being orchestrated by the central government, their expansion reflects considerable disorganisation and sometimes undermines China’s official strategy. The article demonstrates this through case studies of NNCs’ involvement in the UK and Romania.     

Oil Spill Causation and the Deepwater Horizon Spill

The April 20, 2010, BP Deepwater Horizon blowout riveted citizen and elected officials' attention on coastal oil spills in ways not seen since the ill‐fated 1989 Exxon Valdez crisis. A commonly voiced lament included why was the tragedy not prevented? Why the seemingly poor safety practices and who is to blame? Could a spill of such catastrophic proportion happen elsewhere in the future? Applying a spill prevention causation framework developed through the examination of other major near‐shore incidents over a 23‐year period, the author finds Deepwater Horizon exhibited a pattern of shortcomings evident in these other spills. These shortcomings are rooted in policy imperfections, a weak regulatory regime, organizational deviance in lieu of integrity, and interorganizational structure deficiencies.     

海洋石油开发与污染：兼评美国墨西哥湾溢油事故的海事赔偿责任限制问题

从美国墨西哥湾＂深水地平线＂溢油事故以及＂深水地平线＂所有人海事赔偿责任限制出发,简要介绍海洋石油开发装置及其技术特点,分析美国有关海洋石油开发装置的司法实践,并通过阐述国际油污损害赔偿基金的研究报告和希腊最高法院的裁决,提出有必要就海洋石油开发油污责任问题建立统一的国际公约,或者将海洋石油开发装置解释为船舶,以使其可以享受责任限制。

通过对《东方时空》94天播出收视纪录的分析,作者认为这个屡获殊荣的名牌栏目,仍然承载着社会对男女两性的传统规范,是男主外女主内等传统观念的建构者和传播者。它对观察世界方式进行的倾向化处理、对被采访人的选择和嘉宾的邀请、对内容的裁剪和去存,反映了一种性别的偏见。从《东方时空》这个窗口,可以使人了解到目前我国主流媒介对社会性别平等意识的认知程度。     

壮族民间故事《妈勒访天边》的文化解读--兼与廖明君先生商榷

廖明君以神话学视角与世俗功利观念解读壮族民间创作《妈勒访天边》,认为“访天边”是访有“生殖与丰饶”意义的太阳;孕妇访天边,是原始先民认为孕妇“有生殖与丰饶”的文化功能,“有与太阳相呼应的文化意义。”把故事释读成了人类向太阳祈祷的巫术仪式的象征。《妈勒访天边》是故事,研究重点应放在所表现的理性意识上;也不能以世俗眼光看待文学。该故事反映了壮族人民认识世界的愿望,及壮族人民理性的觉醒和科学意识的萌芽。
