印度与新加坡在历史上有着密切的联系。在冷战时期由于深受两极格局的制约、双方外交政策取向差异之影响，双边关系发展缓慢。自冷战结束后，印度与新加坡的哉略联系明显增强，在政治、经济、安全等领域合作日益加深。经济利益的追求、安全战略的契合、对恐怖主义和海盗活动的关注成为印度和新加坡战略合作的主要因素。

India-Singapore Ties in the Post-Cold War Era

India and Singapore have close relations in history.During the Cold War,due to the constraints of the bipolar structure and different orientation of their foreign policies,this relations developed slowly.Since the end of the Cold War,strategic ties between them have experienced a significant enhancement.Political,economic,and security cooperation is rapidly growing and there are increasing common economic interests and overlapping security concern including anti-terrorism and piracy.
