| Abstract: | Given the frequency of delivery of cargo without production of original bills of lading which very often gives rise to substantial claims against the carriers, the article provides the carriers with some practical advice on precautions to be taken and possible defences available to the carriers. It also deals with a number of recent Singapore cases relating to this issue. |
