On China''''s Relationship with Developing Countries in International Arms Control and Disarmament

China and developing countries have maintained active cooperation in international arms control and disarmament since 1950s, contributing to international peace and stability, and to the realization of respective national security interests. With the end of the "Cold War", new phenomena and problems have occurred in the process of international arms control and disarmament, posing new challenges to developing countries. It is worthwhile to note that the issues in international arms control and disarmament may cast shadow upon confidence and cooperation between China and developing countries should they be handled improperly. So it is very important that they work together to enlarge the basis of common interests and further enhance solidarity and cooperation.
