The Application of Criminal Profiling in the Cybercrime Investigation

With the rapid development of computer and network technology in the world,cybercrimes have increased and have become one of serious social issues.People generally show great interest in the important role of high technology in combating cybercrimes but ignore the readjustment and innovation of such traditional investigative techniques as criminal profiling.There are indications that cybercrimes often have some obvious characteristics,which are the basis of criminal profiling.This paper introduces the characteristics of cybercrimes and cybercriminal profiling,then proposes possibilities of combining both,and analyzes the existing problems and future development.
