扩大党的群众基础三论

具有广泛的群众基础是保证共产党执政地位的必要条件。不断扩大党的群众基础是深刻总结党80多年来领导革命、建设和改革的历史经验作出的正确决策。扩大党的群众基础不会改变党的工人阶级先锋队性质。而准确理解和在实际工作中正确把握扩大党的群众基础,必须科学认识新的社会阶层中的广大人员也是中国特色社会主义事业的建设者;必须准确把握判断人们政治上先进与落后的标准;必须积极和稳妥地吸收新的社会阶层中的优秀分子入党。

On Expanding Mass Basis of CPC

It is necessary for the CPC to have a broad mass basis in order to ensure its ruling place. To expand the mass basis is a correct policy - decision after summing up the CPC' s experience of its leading of revolutions, of construction and reform over 80 years. The expansion will not change the CPC' s character as a vanguard of working class. In order to understand and apply it correctly, we should know that people from the new social strata are also constructors in building socialism with Chinese characters; apply correctly the standard for judging whether people are advanced in politics; include good members from the new social strata into the party.
