| Abstract: | ABSTRACT This paper deals with a sparsely researched topic-the victimization of females by fraud. A nationwide survey of victims of a large-scale telemarketing scheme showed that onlya small percentage of the victims were females. Both financial and emotional consequencesgenerally were more severe for the older than for the younger women. |
