| Abstract: | In the 2004 US general election, the electoral system was made more efficient and rational by technical improvements in election procedures, voting machines, and new rules. However, the equality and fairness of the electoral system was afflicted by unprecedented campaign financing. The candidates sought votes by deceiving voters and falsely accusing rivals, which undermined the campaign norms of morality. |
