| Abstract: | Summary The development and present status of the field of prevention is described. Concrete, representative examples are provided to show that global and specific sociocultural factors determine the process that is connecting two fields in Poland—prevention and health psychology. Special attention is provided to barriers and facilitators to the development of prevention activities. |
