旅顺天后宫史略

旅顺天后宫始建于元,明清以来多次重修,香火鼎盛。它既是官方祠祭的寺庙,也是民众信仰的场所。由于清末列强侵略中国,旅顺地区战火纷飞,旅顺天后宫也难逃厄运,或被焚烧,或被侵占,但天后宫的住持僧道却表现了坚贞不屈的爱国精神,可歌可泣。旅顺天后宫的建立与兴衰,与旅顺口的战略地位息息相关,更与近代中国社会的变迁浮沉紧密相连。
