| Abstract: | The influence of mother language to a second language has always been causing interest in the world of foreign languages. But it is the negative function, not the positive one that has been paid more attention to. By putting stress on the positive function and listing both the differences and similarities between Chinese and English, the article aims at discussing how to make use of the knowledge to give full play to the positive function. |
