Standardizing the Socialist Market Economy by Democracy and Law(Ⅰ)

Socialist market economy is an essential stage in the evolution of China's economic contradictions. Being an economic system, it is an embodiment of the socialist system, which means it has to adhere to socialist principles and take democracy as its core. The institutionalization of democratic principles results in the formation of socialist legal system. The practice of socialist market economy is a historic reform in which deficiencies of old economic systems are overcome, and the crux of which lies in the standardization of various aspects and links of social life with democracy and law, the explicit legal stipulation of the rights and obligations of individuals and organizations, as well as the assurance given by legislatures and law enforcement agencies so as to step up a healthy and orderly development of economy.
