20世纪的中国文学完成了从“古典”到“现代”、从“旧文学”到“新文学”的演变。21世纪的中国文学将是由“现代性”向“世界性”过渡与演变的文学。20世纪的中国文学多受“政治”与“革命”的制约,21世纪的文学则多与“经济”相纠缠。经济全球化与文化多元发展是世界历史进程的总格局,全球化语境下的中国文学面临新的机遇与挑战,将会以新的民族性和时代风采融入世界文学之林。

From "Modernity" to "Cosmopolitanity"--Trend of Chinese Literature in the Context of Globalization

The 20th century Chinese literature accomplished its transformation from "classical" to "modern" , and from "old literature" to "new literature". And Chinese literature in the 21st century can be expected to be a literature which will evolve from "modern" to "cosmopolitan". The 20th century Chinese literature was, to a large extent, restricted by "politics" and "revolution" , whereas in this century it will inevitably be tied together with "e-conomy". Multiculturalism and economic globalization is the general pattern of world history. Chinese literature in the context of globalization is faced with new opportunities as well as challenges, but will join the world literature with a national style and new spirit of the times.
