| Abstract: | This paper examines US strategy towards South Asia in the era of the Cold War as well as the evolving US-Indian relationship.According to the author,US nurtured its bilateral relations with India mainly for the purpose of counteracting Soviet strategic interests in the sub-continent.Several key factors constraining US-Indian relations during the period are also analyzed. |
