How to rehabilitate offenders and facilitate their re-integration into society is a critical issue to all countries.From the first simple jail in 1825 to the nowadays all-round and sophisticated Changi Prison Center,there has been a great change in Singaporean prison.At the same time,Singapore has been making great progress in the concept of offender rehabilitation,the prison is no longer a place just for detention and punishment,but a place for rehabilitating offenders,and the communities also play a more and more important role in helping the offenders to re-integrate into the society.
