INTRODUCTION: WATER RESOURCES AND PUBLIC POLICY
Authors:R. Kenneth Godwin  Helen M. Ingram  Dean E. Mann
Affiliation:Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina in 1971 and is currently an associate profes-sor of political science at the University of Arizona. He has authored articles in a number of scholarly journals including the Americon Politico/Science Review, Journal of Politics, Western Political Quarterly, Social Science Quarterly and the Policy Studies Journal and is the author or co-author of four books dealing with policy issues.;A professor of political science at the University of Arizona. Her areas of expertise include water and natural resource policy. She is the current president of the Policy Studies Organization and is the treasurer of the American Political Science Association. Dr. lngram is the author of many books on public policy, especially water policy. Among her publications is the co-authored book Saving hater in a Desert City.;A professor of political science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his Ph.U. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr . Mann is currently the editor of the Nestern Political Quarterly. He was chief of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Division of the National Water Commission from 1970-71 and is currently a member of a National Academy of Sciences' National Research Council committee to advise the U.S. Geological Survey on water resources re-search programs. He is the author of numerous books and articles on the environment and water resources.
Abstract:Research in water resource policy historically has reflected more general trends in public policy analysis. This symposium focuses more narrowly upon a sample of some contemporary issues.
