Guided Hand or Forgery?

A case is described where a person was accused of forging her aged father's signature on a series of cheques and other bank documents. Expert opinion on the authorship of the signatures was sought and the accused was confronted wth the experts’ findings which confirmed forgery of the bulk of the signatures. The accused then alleged that it had been necessary for her to assist her father in signing his signature over a period of time because he had suffered injury to his hand. A further expert examination was made in the light of this allegation and the observations and conclusions reached are given.
