In 2011, the Northern African countries as well as some Sub-Saharan African countries suffered from political turmoil, the European debt crisis and rampant naturaldisasters, while most other countries tried their best to exploit and capitalize on various natural resources, kept to the strategy of united for strength and self-reliance, and actively pushed foreword the regional economic integration. With their common efforts, the African economy has made progress among difficulties and has achieved some satisfactory results.
