也谈"用英语思维"

用英语思维是很多英语学习者都希望达到的一种境界,以为这样就算是“英语学到家了”,因此,很多英语老师在英语教学时都强调学生要用英语思维,要注意语言的规范问题。其实,在语言学界关于语言与思维的争论已经很多年了,至今都没有定论。近年来思维语的提出更使这一问题复杂化了。

On "Thinking in English"

To "think in English" is the ultimate purpose for many English learners because they believe only then could they say they have mastered this language-English.Meanwhile,most English teachers also emphasize the importance of "thinking in English" when teaching,and they constantly remind students of the proper ways of using English.Actually,the relationship between language and thought has been discussed for a long time in the field of linguistics and no definite conclusion could be found.Recently the conception of "mentalese" complicates the problem further.
