英国的外交战略和第三次英日同盟

1911年英日两国提前续订了1905年订立的英日同盟,起因在于日俄战争后远东国际局势的重大变化,一方面使1905年的盟约许多条文已经失去现实意义;另一方面远东日美斗争的加剧使得英国竭力想摆脱前一盟约义务的束缚,避免卷入可能的对美战争。事实上,英日同盟在英国已受到质疑,公众舆论主张废除,但英国出于全球大战略的考虑还是做出了修订英日同盟的这一选择。本文试对英国修约的动机、战略考虑和第三次英日同盟的特征作以评析。

On Britain Diplomatic Strategy and the Third Anglo -Japanese Alliance

In 1911,Britain and Japan renewed Anglo-Japanese alliance treaty signed in1905.Because on one hand,the change of far-eastern international situation after 1905 made many articles of the treaty lose the practical significance;On the other hand,the intensification of the fight between Japan and American made Britain do his best to cast off the treaty and avoid being involved.In fact,the alliance had become unpopular in Britain,and the public opinion maintained it should be abrogated.However,for the sake of the grand strategy,Britain settled on revising the alliance after all.This thesis tries to comment on and analyze the motion of Britain to revise the treaty,the strategic thinking and the feature of the third alliance.
