Malaysia has opposed the United States on a series of issues in post-Cold War time.The relationship between the two countries has been very tense.However,as a result of Malaysia's successful diplomatic tactics,the economical relations between the two countries have developed continuously and the United States has become the largest export market and source of investment of Malaysia.The policy of Malaysia has protected effectively its political and economic profits,raised its international position and embodied its national interests.
