摘 要: | On March 22-April 2,1998,US President Bill Clinton paid a state visit to sixAfrican countries,namely,Ghana,Uganda,Rwanda,South Africa,Botswana and Senegal.This was the most extensive tour of Africa ever by anAmerican President and was a major diplomatic move of the Clinton administrationafter repositioning the continent in its global strategy.Obviously,Africa is carry-ing more weight in US diplomatic considerations.
