| Abstract: | This final rule revises regulations concerning the income and eligibility verification system (IEVS) under the Medicaid program. It implements provisions of the Computer Matching and Privacy Protection Act of 1988 and the Computer Matching and Privacy Protection Amendments of 1990. These laws improve the oversight and procedures governing the disclosure of personal information used in computer matching programs and protect the privacy and due process rights of individuals whose records are exchanged by these programs. |
