Neak Ta God and Neak Ta Belief in Cambodia

Neak Ta God is one of the most influential popular deities in Cambodia. It has dual attributes of both Territorial Spirit and Ancestral God. They could be divided into ＂Territorial Neak Ta＂ and ＂Ancestral Neak Ta＂ and would be in charge of every aspect of the people＇ s living in a certain area, to praise good and punish bad. The belief of Neak Ta God is wide spread in Cambodia, and the folk-custom of sacrificing Neak Ta God is prevailing for the features of obvious regional and ethnical characteristics, it also compound an important part of Cambodian folk beliefs.
