党的八大和党内民主

加强执政党建设是党的八大的一个重要议题。党的八大在探索和发展党内民主方面作出了八项重大决策:明确宣示发展执政党的党内民主;科学界定民主集中制的合理内涵;实行一切党内事务公开的做法;旗帜鲜明地反对个人崇拜;建立党代会的常任制;实行严格有效的监督;探索党的领导职务任期制;保护和扩大党员的民主权利。

It is one of the important topics of the Eighth National Congress to strengthen the building of the ruling party.The Conference made eight significant decisions in the exploration and development of democracy within the Party: announcing clearly to implement democracy within the Party;defining scientifically the content of democratic centralism;making open every affair within the Party;fighting against individual worship;establishing the standing system of Party representatives;implementing strict and effective supervision;exploring the tenure of Party leaders;protecting and expanding democratic rights of Party members.
