Abstract: | The purpose of this paper is to present a theoretical and practical basis for the indigenization of political science in the context of China. In particular, it attempts to address the three related questions: Is it necessary to indigenize political science? Is it possible to indigenize political science? How should political science be indigenized? It argues that that indigenization is not an easy task even for indigenous academics. Therefore a project of indigenization requires a conscious and active effort on their part. Without critical introspection, indigenization is impossible. |
