| Abstract: | The present paper makes an analysis of the status quo, themes and future development of the study of Contemporary Chinese government and politics. The status quo is that the study is still at its incipient stage, there being three books and two series of books in this respect. The themes are democratic politics and optimization of government systems. The future development is that the study will be deepened in eight respects, such as government theory, government operation mechanism and political culture, etc.; the study of contemporary Chinese government and politics will be therefore elevated to a new level. |
