Zhu Rongji, premier of the State Council, metwith Alain Juppe, former French prime minis-ter and mayor of Bordeaux, at Diaoyutai State GuestHouse in Beijing on the afternoon of June 13.Zhu Rongji extended his welcome to Juppe andbriefed him on China's economic situation.
