Repositioning Health Care in the System for Sustainable Development: the Development Strategy for China's Health Care System

Both traditional economics and current practice of industrial classification put health care in a subordinate position in the overall system of national economy. Moreover, current statistics system also underestimates the real value and contribution of health care to social and economic development. From the viewpoint of sustainable development, repositioning the role and contribution of health care in the overall development pattern of the society and economy and exploring its statistical methods are of great theoretical and practical importance.
