由严复悖论探析中国民主政治建设的独特路径

严复早期的“全盘西化”与晚期的“民主制不适于中国”之间的思想悖论启示着这样的真理：中国走向民主政治具有与西方不同的独特路径。在中国共产党领导的民主政治建设事业中，具有如下的规律性特征：首先，由于中国的政治改革是在“全球性”民主化大趋势中进行的，因此，社会主义民主政治的建构必须符合现代政治文明发展的规律性走向。其次，鉴于中国民主政治建设的特色在于“精英引领”，因此，社会主义民主政治的实现有个“过渡性权威主导”的过程。最后，鉴于中国民主政治建设还具有“渐进性改革”的特色，因此，社会主义民主政治的建设应取“由党内民主带动社会民主”与“由基层民主逐步扩大到社会民主”的途径。
