| Abstract: | A series of political crises had taken place in Taiwan after the "Executive Yuan" canceled the fourth nuclear powerplant project on October 27, 2000. As a case study of the contemporary political ecology in Taiwan, this article criticizes some unhealthy factors in the political culture under the superficial phenomenon of "democratic political model of Taiwan" On the other hand, this article argues that the democratic practice in Taiwan is positive and meaningful in general. |
