A comparison of rationalized theories between Habermas and Weber

In spite of a continuing relation between Habermas and Weber, they still differ from each other in supposition of world scheme, philosophical foundation, and theoretical nature. Since Weber constructs his rationalized theory based on the opposition of transcending world to empirical world, the rationality of theory construction is equal to formal rationality. The world scheme supposition in Habermasean rationalized theory has reflected the opposition of empirical world system to life world, and his philosophical base is language philosophy. The rationality for his theory construction can be taken as communicative rationality of common knowledge.
