从严别男女政策看太平天国妇女的社会地位

严别男女政策是太平天国起义之初为适应流动作战需要而实行的一种男女隔离政策,在一定程度上起到了妇女保护作用,但它本身不合情理,再加上执行过程中的激进、极端,对广大妇女所起的保护作用比起她们实际受到的伤害显得微乎其微。这说明太平天国领导人本身并未具有将广大妇女从被压迫的境况中解放出来的伟大志向,他们实行的看似具有妇女解放色彩的政策大多也只是军事政策的副产品。太平天国妇女的社会地位并未得到真正提高。

A Discussion of the Social Status of Women in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom from the Policy of Sexual Segregation

The policy of sexual segregation in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was adopted at the beginning of the movement in order to meet the needs of mobile wars.Although,to some extent,it played a role of protecting women,the policy of sexual segregation itself was not reasonable;what's more,it was in a haste and extreme way.Compare with the harm women received from it,the protection women got was next to nothing.All these indicate that the leaders of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom had no ambition of liberating women from oppression.It seemed that this policy they adopted can liberate women;however,actually it was just the consequent result of those military policies.The social status of women in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom hadn't got real improvement.
