Jeau Baudrillard and the Subversion of the Modern Concept of Nature

This essay examines Jeau Baudrillards discussion in his "The Mirror of Production" of the emergence of the modern concept of nature and Karl Marx inherent link with it. Following the thinking of western Marxism, Baudrillard argues that the modern concept of nature is based on deficiency on which Marxist philosophy and economics are theoretically based as well. This concept of nature, which constitutes the legal basis of modern capitalism, is a rational idea that governs both man and the nature, and is a concept like the mirror of production. Modern capitalism cannot be subverted without the subversion of the modern concept of nature.
