新闻立法是构建和谐社会的基础

新闻媒体以其舆论监督等特有的社会职能,在构建和谐社会中发挥着重要作用,是构建和谐社会的“先行官”和“推进器”。然而,我国新闻立法方面却相对滞后,使新闻媒体的采访权、知情权难以得到应有的尊重,正常的报道工作缺少相应的法律保障,媒体的社会功能无法充分发挥。因此,及时出台相应的法规,充分发挥新闻媒体监督保障的社会功能,是构建和谐社会的基础,也是社会发展的需要。
