唐五代“音声人”论略

北魏出现的乐户主要来源于罪犯配没和战争中的俘虏,他们的地位低于百姓。音声之名出现于唐代,其与乐人既有联系又有区别,政治地位低于良人,与杂户、官户既相似又不同,而经济地位可能与百姓略同。唐后期五代,音声的地位已有所提高。音声是分番执役的,当上番执役时,由官府提供衣粮。但他们也占有部分土地,以供其下番时生活。

Discussions of the People of Yinsheng in the Tang and Five Dynasties

The people of Yinsheng in Northern Wei Dynasty were mainly from the criminals who were banished and the captives in wars.Their status was lower than the common citizens.The name of the People of Yinsheng appeared in Tang Dynasty,who not only had connections with,but also had differences from the musician men,whose political positions were lower than good persons.There were likenesses and dissimilarities between miscellaneous households,official households and the People of Yinsheng,whose economical status was probably similar to the common citizens.The People of Yinsheng's status had already had upgraded in the late stage of Tang and Five Dynasties.The People of Yinsheng went to work in turn.When at work,their clothes and foods were provided by the government.They also occupied some fields,which would feed up their families when off work.
