中餐菜名英译的原则和策略

摘    要:中餐菜名是一种特殊的语言符号,根据符号学的翻译理论和中餐菜名命名的宗旨及其分类方法,我们主张中餐菜名的翻译并不强调原语与译语的语义等值,而应重视功能等值。

Abstract:Chinese dish name is a special language sign.According to the semiotical translation theory and the Chinese dish naming objective as well as naming method,this paper advocates that the translation of Chinese dish should not emphasize primitive with semantic equivalent,but should take the function equivalent.
