Li Buyun and Philosophical Jurisprudence in China Today

Li Buyun is a productive jurisprudent, constitutionalist as well as a first jurist who consciously attaches the jurisprudence to philosophy. He proposes the theory of philosophical jurisprudence in accordance with limitation of the science of both jurisprudence and constitution. On the basis of the system of his theory, the materialism, cognitive theory, dialectic method of law and the perspective of development are constructed and elaborated logically, which is the essence of Li Buyun's research of philosophical jurisprudence and also provides the base, direction and form for study of Chinese jurisprudence.
