Theory of the Development of Environmental - Social System: an Outline

In 1999, Professor Ye Wenhu introduced the concept of the development of environmental - social system based on the study of sustainable development, and took it as a new subject in the theoretical field. This paper discusses how theory of the development of environmental - social system has emerged in our time. The author describes what this subject appears to be up to now and analyzes its problem considering its prospect. As a conclusion, the author shows a general idea of this subject: basic question, content and methodology.
