Chinese Women and Anti-Poverty--A Look Back and Look Ahead

This essay reviews the poverty of Chinese women and their fight against it, the massive efforts the Chinese government has put into the fight, and NGO's contributions to poverty relief among women. It tries to analyze, from the gender angle, women's poverty and the state's policies and actions in the fight against poverty, and develops an analysis framework of the women's-poverty issue from the combined angles of income poverty, time poverty and assets poverty.
