近代英国妇女自我意识的觉醒

英国人的自由主义传统,先驱者的思想启蒙、自由平等思想的熏陶以及19世纪各种社会激进运动和改革运动的影响,启发了妇女的心智。她们逐渐起而抗争,并运用了从男性那里学到的政治经验争取自身的权益。工业革命和城市化进程,把妇女的目光从封闭的乡村地带带到了广阔的城市社会,从家庭小天地转向了社会大舞台;而社会的无限广阔性与妇女个人生活的相对狭隘性的差距,对妇女思想产生了巨大的冲击,促使妇女们去思考与奋斗,去追求生存处境的改变。这些为自我意识的觉醒创造了条件。于是,英国妇女自我意识觉醒并迅速地成长起来了。

Awakening of the Self- Consciousness of Modern British Women

Women are illuminated by British tradition of liberalism, enlightenment of pioneers, influence of freedom and e-quality and various social radical movements and reforms of the 19th century. They rose to fight and employed the political experience learned from man to get their rights. Industrialization and urbanization brought women from closed rural places to the open urban society, from the small places as family to a big stage of society; whereas, the gap between the vast society and limited personal life brought a huge impact to women' s mind, made them think and fight to change their living conditions. Therefore, their self- consciousness awakened and developed rapidly.
