He has authored or coauthored five books, dozens of contributions to edited volumes, and more than forty articles dealing with political parties, elections, and voting behavior in the United States. His newest book, The Disappearing Center: Engaged Citizens, Polarization and American Democracy, will be published in 2010 by Yale University Press.;2.
