公安院校大学英语教学中的人文素质培养

在提倡素质教育的今天,对学生人文素质的培养是摆在高等教育面前的一项重要任务。公安院校不仅要注重培养学生的警务技能,而且应注重学生人文素质的提升。作为公安院校一门重要的公共基础课,大学英语课程的学习人数最多,学习时间最长,影响面最广,是对学生进行人文素质教育和培养的理想平台。笔者通过分析大学英语教学与学生人文素质提升之间的关系,探讨公安院校通过大学英语课堂对学生进行人文素质培养的方法与途径,以期为我国公安战线输送更多高素质的优秀警务人才。

The Humanistic Quality Cultivation during College English Teaching among Public Security Colleges and Universities

Nowadays,along with the promotion of quality education,the cultivation of the students’ humanistic quality is becoming an important task in the presence of higher education.The public security colleges and universities should not only cultivate talents with excellent police skills,but also firmly form the idea of people-oriented in students’ mind,as well as cultivate high quality police talents with noble personalities.As one of the basic courses in public security colleges and universities,College English classes should be an ideal platform of cultivating students’ humanities quality by its largest number of attending students,the longest time of teaching and its most extensive influence.Through the analysis of the relationship between college English teaching and the students’ humanities quality promotion,this article discusses methods and ways of cultivating students’ humane quality through College English classes,which may help cultivate more high quality excellent police talents for our public security fields.
