论1757—1794年荷兰对华贸易中巴达维亚的角色

从1729年至1794年，荷兰东印度公司（1602—1794）操作的荷兰对华贸易可分为3个阶段：1729—1734，1735—1756和1757—1794。其中，第三阶段跨越了将近整个18世纪后半期，是该贸易最成功的阶段。此阶段中，虽然巴达维亚荷印殖民政府对该贸易失去了直接控制，但荷兰对华贸易的成功很大程度上归功于巴达维亚在该贸易中所扮演的重要角色：重要贡献者与有限受益者。但无论如何，从荷兰东印度公司最高领导层的角度来看，虽然巴达维亚自身利益在公司对华贸易新的运营形式中受到损害，但公司的整体利益却得到了最大限度的保证。

Batavia's Roles in Dutch East India Company's Trade with China,1757-1794

The whole period of Dutch East India Company's trade with China which lasted sixty-five years from 1729 to 1794 can be divided into three quite distinct phases: 1729-1734,1735-1756 and 1757-1794.Among them,the last one was most flourishing in which the High Government of Batavia lost its direct control of the trade.To a great extent Batavia's two roles-one of a great contributor and the other of a poor beneficiary-in the Company's trade with China should be thanked for its success.Nonetheless,from the angle of the central administrative board of the Company,the loss of the local interest of Batavia actually worked out well for the general interests of the Company.
