| Abstract: | This paper presents evidence that the traditional sacrifice rites of the Miao and Yao ethnic group are similar in some ways to the blood sacrifice described in Zhou Li, the rites book of the ancient Han nationality, in terms of both ceremony and pronunciation of certain words and expressions, which can furnish fresh evidence about the Miao and Yao ethnic group o-riginates from the central plains (comprising the middle and lower reaches of the Huanghe Riv-er). |
