| Abstract: | As a legacy of the 1997 crisis,Thai banking industry underwent sweeping reforms in the past 10 years. Thai banks are now in better shape than in the past,no mater in efficiency or stability. This will help Thai banking industry get though the current global financial crisis. However,the direct effects of the crisis are not large,but the indirect effects will begin to matter because of the deterioration of the real economic conditions.
